Attend the monthly members' meetings. Usually the meetings have been scheduled on the same evening of the monthly Members' Dinner following the guest speaker or program. You are not required to buy dinner to attend the meeting that follows.
Attend Swedish Club Board meetings, as well as the Finance, Building and Property, and Governance and Bylaws Committee meetings, to listen, learn, and comment. Often these are virtual meetings such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
You have the right to be informed. Email your request to be a guest for virtual Board and committee meetings like Zoom or Microsoft Teams toinfo@swedishclubnw.org. Check the most recent Swedish Club News to see if there is a different email address you should use to arrange to attend virtually. Often the meetings are held in person and not virtually. Look at the Swedish Club News for the dates and times of meetings. If the schedule is not clear, call the Swedish Club at 206.283.1090 or email info@swedishclubnw.org.
Please time your request to attend Board and committee meetings early so you do not overburden the staff of the Club.
